Spokane, Washington

What to do when you need access to a major airport for a work trip, but you’ve been enjoying living in the wilderness for a couple of months? Head to a big city and make the most of it. That’s what we did during seemingly the hottest part of the summer so far in Spokane, Washington. We planted ourselves at a boondocking spot 30 miles outside of the city center and drove to a few cool things over the weekend – the big red wagon, Spokane public library (that issues non-resident cards for just $3.50!!!), and a waterpark in nearby Moses Lake. All-in-all, we survived the work trip, the kids got to check out books finally, and we pushed through a few 90+ degree days with no shade inside the Airstream by escaping to the waterpark. And we got another state colored in on our map – Washington!
